Self-check
What do you actually need to file?
A few questions — one at a time, in your browser — and you get a personal checklist: which filings apply, which tax years are already overdue, when each is due, and a rough price built from our published rates. Your answers are never sent to us unless you choose to send them at the end.
This self-check is general information, not tax or legal advice, and creates no client relationship. Mechanical rules are stated plainly; judgment areas are flagged for assessment. The price estimate is built from published prices and excludes government filing fees — it is not a binding quote. State rules were verified against each state agency in September 2026. For the full year at a glance, see the compliance calendar.
FAQ
About this tool
Is this self-check anonymous?
Your answers are processed inside your browser and are never sent to us. Nothing is stored on any server, and there is no sign-up. If you want us to see the result, you decide that at the end — the tool writes a summary you can copy, and you choose where to send it.
Is the result tax advice?
No. It is general information based on the answers you gave, and it creates no client relationship. Mechanical rules (like the Form 5472 duty) are stated plainly; judgment areas (like whether marketplace selling creates U.S. income tax) are flagged for a professional assessment rather than answered here.
Is the price estimate a real quote?
No — it is a rough total built from our own published prices so you have a number to react to instead of guessing. Fixed-price items are added up, "from" items use their published floor, and anything that genuinely depends on facts we have not collected is listed separately rather than hidden at zero. Government filing fees are never included. Your exact price is confirmed in writing before any work begins.
Why does it ask what year the company was formed?
Because every federal deadline belongs to a tax year, not to a date on the calendar. Without the formation year a tool can only show you the next April 15 — which looks reassuring to someone whose earlier years are already late. Knowing the year is what lets us tell you a year is overdue instead of showing you a comfortable future date.
What should I do with my checklist?
Calendar the deadlines, start gathering documents by the suggested prepare-by dates, and — if you want the filings handled — use the summary button at the end to carry your answers into your first message to us, so you are not re-interviewed from scratch.
